Today is bring your dog to work day!

Here's my dog Zoey with me at work.

A survey by 3milliondogs.com reveals that 66% of American workers would be willing to take a pay cut in exchange for being allowed to bring their dog to work. Ninety-five percent of the 500+ people surveyed said they would be less stressed and 94% said they’d be happier with their dog at their desk.

I am one of those workers—though since I work as a writer from a home office, my black lab rescue Zoey is with me all day, every day. Lucky me!

There are so many benefits of having a dog—a reduction in stress, an increase in the motivation to exercise, and the unconditional love. Check out this Harvard Special Health Report I wrote with a preventive medicine specialist and a vet: Get Healthy, Get a Dog.
